Description

The Si2144 is the industry's most advanced digital Set-TopBox (STB) tuner supporting all worldwide cable andterrestrial TV standards for digital TV reception. Like theprevious generations of Silicon Labs' digital TV tuners, theSi2144 maintains very high linearity and low phase noise todeliver superior picture quality compared to competingsilicon tuners.

Available in an industry-leading 3x3 mm QFN package, theSi2144 delivers the lowest-cost, most design-friendly andarea-efficient digital STB solution available today.Afullyintegrated RF front-end eliminates the need for anexternal balun, LNAs, SAW filters, and inductive powersupply filtering. Also included is a fully-integratedloop-through function with a zero-power mode switch(ZPS) for additional board area and BOM savings. 【Si216x】

Si2164/62/60-C Digital DVB-C2 TV Demodulators

The Si2164/62/60-C integrates digital demodulators for all of the first and second generation DVB video broadcasting standards, DVB-T2/C2/S2X/S2/T/C/S, DVB-T2/C2/T/C and DVB-C2/S2X/S2/T/C/S respectively, in a single advanced CMOS die. Leveraging Silicon Labs' proven digital demodulation architecture, the Si2164/62/60-C achieves excellent reception performance for each media while significantly minimizing front-end design complexity, cost and power dissipation.

Connecting the Si2164/62/60-C to a terrestrial and cable hybrid TV tuner or digital only tuner, such as Silicon Labs' Si2177 and Si2151/41 devices, results in a high-performance and cost optimized TV front-end solution.

Silicon Labs' internally developed DVB-C2 demodulators can accept a standard IF (36 MHz) or low-IF input (differential) and support all modes specified by the DVB-C2 standard. The main features of the DVB-C2 mode are 4096-QAM, 6 or 8 MHz bandwidth, management of notch insertion (broadband and narrowband), and support of multiple data slices and PLPs. The DVB-T2/T, DVB-S2X/S2 and DVB-C demodulator IP blocks are enhanced versions of the proven and broadly-used Silicon Labs Si2169/68/67/66 devices. DVB-T2-Lite (ETSI EN 302 755-V1.3.1) compatibility is also supported.

The satellite demodulation functionality allows demodulating widely deployed DVB-S, DVB-S2 (AMC compliant), DIRECTVTM (DSS) legacy standards, and new generation DVB-S2X (DVB-S2 Extensions) satellite broadcasts. A zero-IF interface (differential) allows for a seamless connection to market proven satellite silicon tuners. Si216x embeds DiSEqCTM 2.0 LNB interface for satellite dish control and an equalizer to compensate for echoes in long cable feeds from antenna to the satellite tuner input. The cable demodulation functionality allows demodulating widely deployed DVB-C legacy standard (ITU J.83 Annex A/C) and Americas' cable standard (ITU-T J.83 Annex B).

The Si216x offers an on-chip blind scan algorithm for DVB-S2/S2X and DVB-C/C2 standards, as well as a blind lock function. The Si216x programmable transport stream output interface provides a flexible range of output modes and is fully compatible with all MPEG decoders or conditional access modules to support any customer application.

Si2183/82/81/80 Digital ISDB-T TV Demodulators

The Si2183/82/81/80 integrates digital demodulators for ISDB-T and all of the first, second and third generation DVB video broadcasting standards, ISDB-T/DVB-T2/C2/S2X/S2/T/C/S, ISDB-T/DVB-T2/S2X/S2/T/C/S, ISDB-T/DVB-S2X/S2/T/C/S, and ISDB-T/DVB-T/C respectively, in a single advanced CMOS die. Leveraging Silicon Labs' proven digital demodulation architecture, the Si2183/82/81/80 achieves excellent reception performance for each media, while significantly minimizing front-end design complexity, cost and power dissipation.

Connecting the Si2183/82/81/80 to a terrestrial and cable hybrid TV tuner or digital only tuner, such as Silicon Labs' Si2177, Si2151, and Si2141 results in a high-performance and cost optimized TV front-end solution.

Silicon Labs’ multi-standard demodulator can accept a standard IF (36 MHz) or low-IF input for terrestrial and cable standards. The ISDB-T demodulator supports all modes specified by current ABNT NBR 16.601 and ABNT NBR 15.604 specifications. The main features of the ISDB-T mode are three layers decoding, TMCC decoding, support for differential demodulation, partial reception decoding, and AC1, AC2 decoding. The DVB-T2 demodulator supports all modes specified by current DVB-T2-V1.3.1 standard. The main features of the DVB-T2 and T2-Lite modes are 256 QAM with rotated constellations, SISO and MISO support, FEF management, fully autonomous signal acquisition including automatic L1 signaling parsing, scrambling of L1 post-signaling, 600 kHz acquisition range, support for all pilot patterns, and DVB-T2/T auto-detection.

The satellite demodulation functionality allows demodulating widespread DVB-S, DIRECTV™ (DSS), DVB-S2, and DIRECTV™ (AMC) legacy standards, as well as new Part II of DVB-S2 (S2X) satellite broadcast standard. Broadcast services, variable coding and modulation (VCM), 8, 16, 32 APSK modulations and code rates, new shorten roll-off factors, are the main specifications of the new DVB-S2 demodulator. A zero-IF interface allows for a seamless connection to market proven satellite silicon tuners. It also integrates DiSEqC™ 2.0 LNB interface for satellite dish control and an equalizer to compensate for echoes in long cable feeds from the LNB to the satellite tuner RF input.

The Si218x offers an on-chip blind scan algorithm for DVB-S2X/S2/S and DVB-C2/C standards, as well as a blind lock function.
