  The LMR33630 SIMPLE SWITCHER® regulator is aneasy-to-use, synchronous, step-down DC/DCconverter that delivers best-in-class efficiency forrugged industrial applications. The LMR33630 iscapable of driving up to 3 A of load current from aninput of up to 36 V. The LMR33630 provides highlight load efficiency and output accuracy in a verysmall solution size. Features such as a power-goodflag and precision enable provide both flexible andeasy-to-use solutions for a wide range of applications.

  The LMR33630 automatically folds back frequency atlight load to improve efficiency. Integration eliminatesmost external components and provides a pinoutdesigned for simple PCB layout. Protection featuresinclude thermal shutdown, input undervoltage lockout,cycle-by-cycle current limit, and hiccup short-circuitprotection. The LMR33630 is available in an 8-pinHSOIC package and in a 12-pin 3 mm × 2 mm VQFNpackage with wettable flanks. This device is alsoavailable in an AEC-Q100-qualified version.Thisdevice is also availabe in an AEC-Q100 qualifiedversion.

  The Texas Instruments LMR33630 EVM evaluation module (EVM) helps designers evaluate the operationand performance of the LMR33630 buck regulator. The LMR336x0 is a family of easy-to-use synchronousstep-down DC/DC converters capable of driving up to 3 A of load current from an input voltage of 3.8 V to36 V. The LMR33630 EVM features a selectable output voltage of 3.3 V or 5 V and a switching frequencyof either 400 kHz or 2.1 MHz.
