  The EFM32 MCUs are the world’s most energy friendly microcontrollers. With a unique combination ofthe powerful 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3, innovative low energy techniques, short wake-up time from energysaving modes, and a wide selection of peripherals, the EFM32G microcontroller is well suited for anybattery operated application as well as other systems requiring high performance and low-energy consumption.

  This section gives a short introduction to each of the modules in general terms and also showsa summary of the configuration for the EFM32G890 devices.

  开发板EFM32-G8XX-DK

  The EFM32 Gecko Development Kit is a platform for rapidprototyping of ultra low power microcontroller applications.It consists of a mother board, a replaceable MCU-boardand a prototyping-board, along with a comprehensive softwaredevelopment environment.

  The development kit contains a unique Advanced EnergyMonitoring (AEM) system that allows designers to have fullcontrol over their application’s energy consumption. Combinedwith the possibility to isolate the motherboard’s componentsnot relevant for the end application, designers canoptimize all variables that will make their application as energyefficient as possible.

  The on-board emulator enables extremely simple setup,and combined with the versatile peripherals (e.g. accelerometer,TFT-display, audio input/output, RS232, userLEDs / buttons), the development kit gives a complete basisfor application design and prototyping.

  The EFM32-G8XX-DK is a highly flexible development kit. It offers many features and peripherals to theEFM32 through jumperless configuration. The different features on the kit are available as configuredin the motherboard’s Board Controller. Configuration is easily done by a simple API in the kit BoardSupport Package.

  If none of the motherboard features are needed, configuration of the Board Controller is not necessary.

  All EFM32 GPIO pins are available on the prototyping board.
