  MC33742

  The 33742 and the 33742S are SPI-controlled System Basis Chips (SBCs) combining many frequently used functions along with a CAN 2.0-compliant transceiver, used in many automotive electronic control units (ECUs). The 33742 SBC has a fully protected fixed 5.0 V low dropout

  internal regulator with current limiting, overtemperature pre-warning, and reset. A second 5.0 V regulator can be implemented using external pass PNP bipolar junction pass transistor driven by the SBC’s external V2 sense input and V2 output drive pins.

  The SBC has four main operating modes: Normal, Standby, Stop, and Sleep mode. Additionally there is an internally switched high-side power supply output, four wake-up inputs pins, a programmable window watchdog, interrupt, reset, and a SPI module for communication and control. The high-speed CAN A and B transceiver is available for inter-module communication.

  MC33902

  The MC33902 is a high speed CAN physical interface. The device includes an internal 5.0 V supply for the CAN bus transceiver, and requires only a connection to a battery line.

  The MC33902 provides 4 operation modes, including low power modes with remote and local wake-up.

  The device has very low sleep and standby current consumption.

  MC33661

  Local Interconnect Network (LIN) is a serial communication protocol

  designed to support automotive networks in conjunction with Controller Area Network (CAN). As the lowest level of a hierarchical network, LIN enables costeffective communication with sensors and actuators when all the features of CAN are not required. The 33661 is a Physical Layer component dedicated to automotive LIN subbus applications. It offers slew rate selection for optimized operation at 10kbps and 20kbps, fast baud rate (above 100kbps) for test and

  programming modes, excellent radiated emission performance, and safe behavior in the event of LIN bus short-to-ground or LIN bus leakage during low-power mode.

  33972A

  The 33972 Multiple Switch Detection Interface with Suppressed Wake-Up is designed to detect the closing and opening of up to 22 switch contacts. The switch status, either open or closed, is transferred to the microprocessor unit (MCU) through a serial peripheral interface (SPI). The device also features a 22-to-1 analog multiplexer for reading inputs as analog. The analog input signal is buffered and provided on the AMUX output pin for the MCU to read.

  The 33972 device has two modes of operation, Normal and Sleep. Normal mode allows programming of the device and supplies switch contacts with pullup or pulldown current as it monitors switch change of state. The Sleep mode provides low quiescent current, which makes the 33972 ideal for automotive and industrial products requiring low sleep state currents.

  MC33879

  Overview

  The NXP® MC33879 device is an 8-output hardware configurable, high side/low side switch with 16-bit serial input control using the serial peripheral interface (SPI).

  Two of the outputs may be controlled directly via a MCU for pulse-width modulation applications

  Incorporates SMARTMOS® technology with CMOS logic, bipolar/MOS analog circuitry, and DMOS power MOSFETs

  Controls various inductive, incandescent, or LED loads by directly interfacing with a MCU

  We recommend the use of the "A" version devices for new designs

  MC33810

  The 33810 is an eight channel output driver IC intended for automotive engine control applications. The IC consists of four integrated low side drivers and four low side gate predrivers. The low side drivers are suitable for driving fuel injectors, solenoids, lamps, and relays. The four gate pre-drivers can function either as ignition IGBT gate pre-drivers or as general purpose MOSFET gate pre-drivers.

  When configured as ignition IGBT gate pre-drivers, additional features are enabled such as spark duration, dwell time, and ignition coil current sense. When configured as a general purpose gate predriver, the 33810 provides external MOSFETs with short circuit protection, inductive flyback protection and diagnostics. The device is packaged in a 32 pin (0.65mm pitch) exposed pad SOIC

  MC33926

  Overview

  The dual MC33926 motor driver carrier is a breakout board featuring two Freescale MC33926 H-bridge ICs. It can supply up to almost 3 A continuous current per channel to two brushed DC motors at 5 – 28 V, and it can tolerate peak currents up to 5 A per channel for a few seconds, making this a great general-purpose motor driver for medium-sized DC motors and for differential-drive robots that use such motors. The MC33926 supports ultrasonic (up to 20 kHz) pulse width modulation (PWM) of the motor output voltage, which eliminates the audible switching sounds caused by PWM speed control, and a current feedback circuit for each motor outputs an analog voltage on its respective FB pin that is proportional to the output current. Since this board is a carrier for the Freescale Semiconductor MC33926 H-bridge, we recommend careful reading of the MC33926 datasheet (1MB pdf).

  Pinout

  The default states of many of the MC33926 logic input pins requires that many external connections be made to use this board. To reduce the number of necessary external connections, the board has seven default-overriding jumpers. All of the default-overriding jumpers are tied to VDD, except the D1 jumpers, which are tied to GND. All VDD jumper pads are circles; the ground jumper pads are square. Note that the board has only one invert, slew, and enable pin; each of these three pins affects both motor drivers.
