　　HX3 is a family of USB 3.0 hub controllers compliant with the USB 3.0 specification revision 1.0. HX3 supports SuperSpeed (SS),Hi-Speed (HS), Full-Speed (FS), and Low-Speed (LS) on all the ports. It has integrated termination, pull-up, and pull-down resistors,and supports configuration options through pin-straps to reduce the overall BOM of the system.HX3 includes the following Cypress-proprietary features:Shared Link™: enables extra downstream (DS) ports for on-board connections in embedded applications Ghost Charge™: Enables charging of devices connected to the DS ports when no host is connected on the upstream (US) port

　　CY4609 is an easy-to-use Reference Design Kit to evaluate the USB-IF Certified CYUSB330x family of HX3 USB 3.0 hub controllers. The kit can be used as a reference design for standalone USB 3.0 hub application. This kit comes integrated with the required components and the Blaster Plus software utility. Blaster Plus is a GUI based Cypress software tool to change the configuration parameters of HX3.

　　The CY4609 Reference Design Kit (RDK) is a small form-factor, ready-to-use hub reference design.

　　The CY4603 Development Kit (DVK) provides the flexibility to configure and evaluate all HX3 features.

　　The CY4613 DVK implements advanced features, such as Shared Link™ and ACA-Dock.

　　This document is the common user guide for the three HX3 kits, which are based on three differentHX3 USB 3.0 hub controller parts.
